To use perl documentation, use the command

unix%perldoc perldoc

Example:
unix% perldoc -f chop
to display help on the function chop. When reading the documentation pay attention to the inputs and return values.

Watch that trip line. It has to be the very first line.
If not, the operating systems does not know to use the perl interpreter.
